I've not listened to that album in ages.  Thanks for reminding me!

Good stuff!

I tried to listen to Battles, but I didn't see the point. Maybe it's the elitist in me rebelling at anything that Pitchfork liked.

Rock Bottom has like a 4.7.

I will never get tired of laughing at that. LOL

Out of what?

4.7/5 is excellent.
4.7/10 is not excellent

5/5 is my rating, though.

I might join Pitchfork and rate some Albert Ayler and Ornette Coleman with excellent ratings. Wink

Holy sh*t! That is unbelievable, and the review doesn't even make sense. They gave This Heat like a 9 too.

James, you would have to join Pitchfork's staff, I don't think they even allow user ratings.

Link/torrent/audio.

Mods are asleep.
It's not out. I went to the actual debate.
Hitch got him on the supposed "fine tuned" universe that allows humans to have a bunch of problems that could've only arisen as a result of being an animal that evolved. Plus, I don't think that Craig actually belives in the miracle acts of Jesus judging from his reaction.
I'll send you a PM when I get the DVD.Wink

Hmm.

That dude has no idea.

Wyatt was a Communist, not a Socialist.
Rock Bottom was his second solo album, not his first.  Plus he contradicts himself in the same sentence by saying it's his first after his accident.

Make sense!

Finally, there is no debate.

The album is great.  Most people recognise this fact.  We're not all Syd Barrett-types either.  Some people don't enjoy it or like it but they don't use deliberately annoying reviews to get their point across.

Oh and I suspect Robert Wyatt himself finds your review highly amusing too.  He wouldn't take offence, he's a nice former-Commie. Wink

James, why don't you do freelance work for them or any music magazine/site?

How does Craig argue us humans having a Coccyx?  I'm just curious.  If that didn't get a mention, no worries.

Because it's Pitchfork Media and they suck. LOL

I could find an alternative site/magazine though, as you suggest.

Did I mention that Max is getting interviewed by Classic Rock Magazine?

No mention. One of his points was the improbability of life. From his perspective, we would have to have a designer because the statistical probability of life is immense.

Hahahaha.

So a designer gives Humans a Coccyx which forms no real function at all, except it really f**king hurts when you fall on it?

Hmm.

I don't think so!

That designer would be a sadist.

Is he also along the line of thinking that all dinosaur bones and eggs have been planted by modern humans as a ruse against evolution and natural selection?

Craig is a Christian Apologetic, so he tries to reconcile science with Christianity.
Evolution is a part of God's design, apparently

You would be hard pressed to find someone who actually thinks that.

A friend of mine from Georgia State (a woman) who I am friendly with, does indeed think that.

The intro to that YouTube video is the music for News 24 which I think is actually really good.

Yes, the Bill Bailey Apocalyptic Rave. Big smile

I don't mean that he wrote it or performed it, obviously.  I've seen the clip where he talks about it. LOL
