Chickenfoot.

It's rock so I don't think he'd like it. Chad Smith on drums, Joe Satriani on guitar, Sammy Hagar on vocals, and Michael Anthony on bass.

Heard some of Chickenfoot on myspace.
The songs just seemed to go to long. They were 3 and a half minute songs and some of them just went way longer than they should have.

I think it's cool sounding. Good background music, planning to see them when they come to London.

Granted,I like both some of Satch's work and the very early Van Halen records, but Chickenfoot doesn't have the magic of either. Especially compared to early VH, Chickenfoot just doesn't seem to have the balls.

I'll see how it sounds when I get the album and see them in concert.

June 25th Shepherd's Bush Empire. And yes it's pretty much confirmed (tickets are on sale) and it's on the band's website.

This album is really juicy and as per usual, Patrick the crazy Zeuhl cat needs it as well as the follow-up release.

In fact, he may well have them but I am not sure.

All he needs to to is ask me.

I am slightly stressed but listening to wonderful music.  A weird affect it's having on me.

And as I asked in that other thread...

Is it possible to cross a Tsitsu and a Poodle and if so, would it be called a Tsit Poo?

Also:

How do you know if you're at a party with guitarists?

....Don't worry, they'll tell you.

The guitar one was extremely funny. LOL

Some others:

How do you know when a bass player is at the door trying to get in?

...He keeps fumbling around trying to find the right key.

How is a drummer similar to ancient Greek philosophers?

...Both see time as an abstract concept.

Why are upright basses like elderly parents?

...Both are unforgiving and hard to get into and out of cars.
