Topic: Ibliss vs Haboob Posted: August 15 2009 at 15:36 |
Both albums are part of my recent purchases and I'm giving them lots of listens since they are really great:Ibliss is percussion led(excellent Basil Hammoudi from Organisation),very repetitive and psychedelic.A nice trip for me!I also enjoy Haboob psychedelic jazz/funk with great playing from organist Jimmy Jackson(AD 2 power!),Green and Powell fit in well too.So what's your point of view about these 2 gems from german rock.

I pick Ibliss, so much more fun than Haboob. Both are great, but Ibliss simply makes me smile..

True!Maybe it is because of the percussives, wind instruments. The general mood of the album is rather happy whereas Haboob has a darker psychedelic tone.By the way have you listened to the album by Organisation?

Looking forward to it especially the way you describe it as dark and psychedelic. ORGANISATION's album is a favourite of mine. I'll let you know what i think.
