I would mention a very special favourite of mine, Gary Brooker, from Procol Harum (one of my favourite all time bands, remember this one? if you don't try/retry them, you'll be finding a gem), although you can argue that what he does sing is the «blue eyed soul».

Also Peter Gabriel, just a tremendous voice ( and talent to suit...).
To me these 2 are on a different league from all the rest. IMHO.

In no particular order, my favorites would be:

Jon Anderson, Peter Gabriel, Greg Lake, John Wetton, and Annie Haslam.

Honorable mentions to Colin Carter of Flash, who is posting new tunes on their MySpace page!   I enjoy Fish, but does he really do anything beyond what Gabriel did?  

I agree with the poster who said Dave Cousins of The Strawbs is a much under-appreciated genius!   And, let us not forget Eno!!  

Jesus, these "best of lists" are too hard!!!
