... you swear you saw a Roger Dean's painting in the movie, 'The Divinci Code.'

... you find your wife in bed with Robert Fripp and all you want to know is if his accent beats 1 and 4 of  a
quintuple meter in anyway restricted Bruford's 1, 4, and 6 from a 7/8 meter recording on Thrak?

... Steve Wilson takes out a restraining order on you.

...  your wife gets the kids, the house, the car... and you get to keep your Genesis Box Sets

... you believe in reincarnation and you want to come back as Steve Howe's 1964 Gibson ES-175

.... your wife successfully gets her lawyer to get the Genesis box sets, but you get visitation rights every
     weekend.

When you want to talk about Pink Floyd albums, but your friends want to talk about Pink Floyd songs

When you tell your self proclaimed "Bowie Fanatic" teacher that Low is your favorite album, and she mysteriously stops talking

Everyone I know has had to live for decades with me pointing out a Moog whenever I see one on stage, in a video, or detectable in the soundtrack to a movie...

A car-ful of friends on the way to see Kiss the other night was alerted to the fact that the Soundgarden song playing in the car contained Mellotron (Mailman)...

A roomful of indifferent tv viewers were recently alerted to the fact that a poster for Yes' Relayer was detected hanging on the wall in the background of a photo of celebrity chef Mario Batali during a documentary about him...

My knowledge that none of my friends or family are even remotely compelled by these facts somehow does not prevent me from doing it anyway...

You wonder if a 20+ min. epic is too long for a wedding song...
You have Progarchives.com as your Firefox's (or ie's) homepage...
Mellotron has you salivating like a Pavlovian dog
Et je ferme les yeux
Puis je croise les doigts
Pour empêcher
Les souvenirs de fuir.

Well let's just say that after my house flooded on 9/21 this year, one of my first priorities was to relocate the surviving CDs and DVDs and LPs to a conditioned storage unit.  I have since hauled the CDs and DVDs up two flights of stairs to the apartment we'll be living in temporarily.  I have yet to reorganize/alphabetize the discs yet, but you can probably count on that happening before the next week is over.
Released date are often when it it impacted you but recorded dates are when it really happened...

Regularly visit this thread to check if you don't do anything from these.
There's a point where "avant-garde" and "experimental" becomes "terrible" and "pointless,"

When you decide to deliver your paperwork at the job just after the song end... the problem is that you are listening to an epic and you must be late on your work, but you don't mind anyway... yes... that's me... jejeje... Listen to Six Degrees and I'm not thinking on stop it... jejeje...

Ohh..!!! when you tell your girlfriend by the phone that you have to go because you have to listen to the new album of Dream Theater or O.S.I. because you have only listen to it 5 times and you still don't memorize the lyrics... jejeje...
