News of minor programming revamp. For a number of years I have deliberately operated a playlist policy  which meant the first 30 minutes of the ALT2 has been devoted to jazz, jazz fusion and the remaining 150 minutes has been a deliberate mix of music styles -  basically  no two consequetive tracks would be musically the same (unless was trying to make some point, e.g. last night Robert Plant covering Skip's Song after Skip Spence's Diana).  From next Thursday onwards all 180 min goes random, with an increase of jazz/jazz rock content by about 10% of  the 'needle time' - to quote my occasional producer Andy Marlow on my jingle, now the whole show should have that feeling of "you wondering what's coming next".

A couple of US listeners have fedback saying they are having problems with webcast crash, although rebooting solves the problem until it crashes some time later. Such feedback is appreciated for us to make improvements.

Don't how I discovered them, but grow to love Sylvian's voice - and he seems to be getting himself more in Nu Fusion - he guest vocals on a ECM recording earlier this Cartography
