Yeah, still with you Tom, sadly.  About your other post, my order shipped via US mail, no UPS.  I'm not sure about Amazon's clout with them, but it sure seems like they are deliberately extending the time it takes to get you to pay for Amazon Prime or more expensive shipping.

So let me tell you about my day today:

I took a vacation day today.

I started my day by sleeping for an extra two hours and woke up with a song in my heart (to be honest, it was "The Truth Will Set You Free".  Shortly thereafter, my wife and two year old woke up as well, the three of us were off on an adventure.  We had free passes to our local science center.

So we ate breakfast and headed off.  On the hour that it took to get there we listened to "The Truth Will Set You Free" and then the first part of "A Trick of the Tail".  I'd like to point out how proud I was when my wife mentioned that Trick was one of her favorite Genesis albums . . . my wife was not a prog fan prior to her relationship with me.

We got to the center and had a blast, we played in the room full of balls, the water room, the robots, we toured a WWII era US Sub and generally wrecked havoc where ever we went.  Tori (my daughter) had a delightful time playing the drums from around the world . . . (oh please don't let her be a drummer).

(well I guess a drummer is at least a musician, I'll take my blessings).

After we were done with the Science Center, we walked around Pittsburgh for a bit, we saw both the baseball and football (American) stadiums.  We walked along two of our three rivers and fed the geese and ducks as well.  Marianne (my wife) made the comment that it was almost a perfect day, the only thing that was needed was Ice Cream.  I had my own thoughts on a perfect ending to the day, but the ice cream was in my control . . .

So of course we stopped for Ice Cream at a local candy shop.  Tori was apparently only interested in the stuffed animals so she came away from the place with a stuffed dalmatian instead of ice cream.  I think she's a fairly smart kid cause she sure as heck sampled a lot of Mommy and Daddy's ice cream.

Nonetheless, it was a beautiful day all around, about seventy degrees, we had a great family outing.  When we got home, lo and behold, my perfect ending to the day came true as well.

Yes, I'm listening to The Whirlwind as we speak.  Big smile

Rock on.

Jeff,

Nope, no opinion as of yet, I need to give it a few listens before I can opine and that won't be til next week.  Nothing immediately jumped out at me through the various distractions of the weekend.  I did enjoy Hogweed though.

I definitely loved their take on Hogweed as well. I thought their cover of the Santana tune was very well done as well.

You should enjoy the strong Stolt contribution to Whirlwind. It's certainly got a lot more of that "Flower Kings" feel throughout. Great guitarwork. Next time order from Radiant. I'm in Canada and my copy came in early last week.
Cheers and enjoy it when it comes.

Gus,

That sucks, Amazon irritates me in general, though my repeated posts was more for amusement rather than actual ire anymore.  There was a time when I was legitimately po'ed at them.  Now, I just expect to be treated like crap so I don't let it bother me.  hmm, that's kind of sad when you think about it, huh?
