Nothing about hunting appeals to me, and I'd never do it. But if someone enjoys it and isn't doing anything illegal, than they can go have fun (as Matt said) standing out in the cold at dawn. I'll stay in bed thank you.

Of course hunting for fun is wrong. That should always be taken as given. Also this pic made me laugh. John Haughm is so metal.

I take it you have never been deer hunting? There is nothing stupid about it if you know what you are doing, and are doing it legally and in a ethically careful way.
In NZ we have several species of deer, some of which become problems during population explosions, and therefore a careful cull is needed. Most of the time, if you do things correctly that animal won't suffer much, and you are still protecting the natural environmental balance. Remember that most animals were introduced to NZ by European settlers, most indigenous species were wiped out, or became threatened, and thus legally protected.

I can't have fun hunting anyway, I don't think it is fun to sit in the cold in the hopes that something might wander by.

I did't get to listen to anything new (I have guests until Thursday), and I bought two early Bob Dylans, Surrealistic Pillow, Houses Of The Holy, Third, OK Computer, L.A. Bolded ones are my favorites. Looks like some nice picks overall.
