What the SR needs is an international SR Mix USB.

You get a large USB, and you send it to one of the SR locals in the mail, they place a single track on the USB, then mail it to another person. Eventually it comes back to someone representative of the whole group, and you have a SR playlist.

You can also send signatures, photos, personal messages to each other.

Any takers?

That would be really cool if we could find a way to get it to work.

Speaking of pictures, I need to find my digital camera before I go see The Fall of Troy next week. I haven't taken pictures at a concert for awhile.

I'm still waiting on Cale:Drew if thats any indication. Also, SR playlist would be badass. I'd definitely participate if it happened.

@Alex: I was on year 11 retreat, which was laaaame.

Rush was my first concert. My favorite was The Decemberists, although assuming I had been able to stay long enough to see Between the Buried and Me, I would guess their super-tour with Cynic, Devy, and Scale the Summit would have been my favorite.

I get to see BtBaM for the second time when they open for Mastodon in May though. Big smile

Mmmm Claypool is epic.

Also, year 11 retreat sucked balls. Steven Wilson boxset arrived though

I don't like the vocals in Primus, but the bassist is a robot!

I'm incredibly jealous now.

Los Sueños de un Higado

Excellent album, but too short (35 minutes). It's all on YouTube.

I think you can listen to at least several of Omar's solo albums for free on his website. Can't remember if it's all of them or not.

At least he's reasonable, he understands that making people pay for his albums wouldn't be correct Wink

I'm starting Unexpect's In a Flesh Aquarium

That's one of the best avant-garde metal albums I've ever heard.

Yeah, I really like it. I'm also fond of Diablo Swing Orchestra.
I do NOT like Mr. Bungle (except some pieces).

Mr. Bungle was one of the bands that got me in avant-garde and avant-prog. I loooooooove Disco Volante and California.

DSO are quite nice when I'm in the mood for them.

Try Vladimir Bozar N'ZSO
