All songs are in mp3/320 kpbs.

I only heard two songs yet. They were characterized by:
  • Use of drums, percussion and rhythm patterns uncommon to western music.
  • Dreamy/floating female vocals.
  • Electric guitar alternating between dreamy/spacey and hard rock
The production quality is very good, certainly up to cd standard imo.

So far they don't sound typically "Neo" to me. The dreamy and/or cheesy keyboards are missing. I'd say listeners who like uncommon percussion and eastern influences should check them out.

Thanks for posting this, not everyday we see bands from Pakistan, and I really liked what I listened Clap

Well, thank you for answering!  I'm still pretty new here and happy if I get a response. Smile

Based on what you said they sound like, I'm checking it out now too.  It seems like an intriguing mix to me.

Burning Shed is pleased to announce that it is now hosting the online shop for the Panegyric label.

Panegyric is responsible for the hugely influential King Crimson, Robert Fripp and related catalogue.

To celebrate our online collaboration with Panegyric, we're offering a free mp3 live download version of the song Epitaph taken from King Crimson's legendary Hyde Park performance (with The Rolling Stones) in July 1969.

This version was previously available on the limited edition boxed set version of the band's iconic debut album, 'In the Court of the Crimson King' by King Crimson.

We're also offering a free download from the band, Blue Beard, taken from Looking Towards The Sky, a compilation of the Progressive, Psychedelic and Folk-Rock material released on the independent label Ember in the 1960s and 1970s.

Panegyric store:

King Crimson store:

HI,
as far as I have seen - For Absent Friends has some songs for download on the website.
From the last album (Square 1) only parts of songs, from an older album 3 songs and
3 or 4 live songs..... check out the album/diskographie button...

Yes, that's a great review. Thanks for the link.
I think I agree on most points. I also thought it lacked something to make it great and had it tagged as 3 stars in my mind.

Yes, they would prefer a donation on their official site, they want control of their destiny back.

Yeah, I saw that after my post. I donated to the band and, with the donation, asked if there was a place to buy CDs in a way that helps the band. I'll update if they respond.

That's pretty crazy, I will definitely be checking that out in the near future. But, being the good little shopper I am, if I like them I'll undoubtably start buying the CDs anyways XD

Agreed, but this is a great way to find out if I like them or not.

Looks like The Enid are having some problems and are hoping to use the free downloads as a method of getting donations to help them deal with it financially. It's pretty generous of them to offer us their entire catalogue for free, so I recommend helping out if you are able.
