I can think of a couple rock songs that have horn in them (The Stones' "You Can't Always Get What You Want" and Extreme's "Rise 'n Shine" from III Sides to Every Story). However, I don't know of any prog songs that feature this wonderful instrument. Anyone?

"Okonkole Y Trompa" off Jaco Pastorius's debut features the French horn.

After going through a few vids, found this one. Cool song! Thanks!

Btw, the song only lasts to about 4:25, then you just get to stare at a cat for a few minutes...

I have heard of Egg, but, until now, had never checked them out. Tried a few songs: enjoyed it. However, didn't hear any horn. It would be great if you could give me some specific song titles.

Another cool find! Really, more of a small brass section at the end, including a horn but led by a trumpet/cornet. Thanks!

I'll check back later. Must go to bed.

There is a very very very nice piece of French Horn in the Endless Enigma at the start of part 2.  Perhaps it doesn't count as it is synthesised rather than a real French Horn but the sound is there nonetheless.

There is a lot of horn in Univers Zero, besides other chamber music instruments.

A concept album by The Who. (I guess he meant so...)

Aside from the ones already mentioned, there is also French Horn on Gabriel's OVO. The brass section at the end of Father, Son is incredible!

There's a french horn solo in "At the End of the Day" by Spock's Beard.  Apparently it's played by Dave Meros.

In "Octavarium" by Dream Theater, there is some french horn in the Razor's Edge section. I'm pretty sure it's also blended with some string instruments. Not sure, I'm not good at telling these things.
