Fragile is fragile, Relayer is thick.

Wakeman - Can and Brahms
Anderson - We Have Heaven
Bruford - Five Per Cent For Nothing
Howe - Mood for a day.
Squire - The Fish (Schindleria Praematurus)

Withot these "fillers" the album would have been incomplete and only worthy a 4 star rating to me!
Exactly. If you took those "fillers" away, Fragile wouldn't be Fragile any more. They're what make it special.(Also, don't forget Squire's The Fish. :P)

I have tried many times to "get" Relayer but alas I never get there.  Except for a few passages, I find most of it uninspired, almost tedious.  Cant lose with Fragile though.

Fragile. I believe as a whole it is a much better album. Relayer has Gates of Delirium which should be enoughm but not if it is about albums.

Both are brilliant, but I have to give it to Relayer as a more significant musical statement.

Relayer.

Fragile has some great music, but there's too much filler.

Fragile by a mile for me. Fresh, interesting and compact. Relayer for me just feels bloated and uninteresting.

But then, Fragile is really the last Yes album I like, so take it with a grain of salt. Wink

I disagree, you should have checked out my old polls, and it wasn't even with popular albums! Wink Tongue

My favourite YES period is consisting of CTTE, TFTO and Relayer, so that should answer the question. Actually, I like The Yes Album considerably more than Fragile.

Fragile is a more pleasant and enjoyable album for me allthrough.

Relayer has 3 beasts which all are of high quality, but with the exception of To Be Over, the other two have certain flaws which makes it a less pleasant listen throughout, despite it's very high quality.

I'll go for Fragile.
