Ok, I'm going to do some work (actual work), have lunch, and then I'll create some new stuff. One ambient peice that can be used as a base, and one real f**ked up mess.

And here is another I built, which is more along the lines of an atrocious maudlin of the Well instrumental rip off.

That's Sand Rose Waltz of Flame, with deliciously synthesized violins! =(

Oh, you could put me down as a lyricist, if you wanted. I like...write poetries and sh*t like that. Really, I'd like to experiment with what I've got.

Hi guys

I was out camping so I'm a little late to the party

I play guitar; mostly weird noodly avant-jazz/fusion sh*t, but also some metal and whatever else I feel like

Let me know what you need; as I told Joel, I can't really do anything until I get my new computer, which will hopefully be this week or next

That's cool, we've got plenty of time (and other members). It might be a while before I'll be able to contribute anything as well.

Once I've got my rig set up I'm planning on cranking out a couple of solo albums a week anyway, so I can easily dedicate some time to this project

So we're avant-metal, right?  Maybe I'll start with some guitar solos

Colin, it's really just avant-whatever. The crazier the better. I've already recorded 4 minutes of electronic noise/glitch.

Go nuts bro.

That's my kind of band Big smile

I'm so stifled (musically) in Hobo Trashcan Fire because only the drummer likes similar music to me.  Both of us are from a jazz background, and also spent some time playing thrash metal, but mostly we just do mellow/trippy jams now.  Actually, only Joel I think has seen them but we've got some new, funkier songs written. (HTcF that is)

Go for it, though from what you've said I think I'm going to like anything you come up with!

I forgot to mention - if I can figure out some way to record acoustic instruments, I can also contribute some upright bass, banjo and violin.  I'm not sure how to get good recordings of them though - my only mic is on my headset.

I am thinking of picking up a cheap/hopefully decent mic. I was happy with how good the quality using my mp3 player came out, but want to see if I can make it better

What would people think if I recoded a whole bunch of animal noises and twisted them into something evil?

They're also $80, which is a big price tag to attach to this project for me. LOL
