You also give that is very curious (to say the less) that the post changed in order to support your claim?

Please Mike, I'm not a stupid, you won't quote something I didn't said, to support your claim that I said it

But is more unbelievable that  the original post changed suddenly to support your claim.

That's absurd.

But however absurd it may appear - that is how it happened. Co-incidences do happen, however unfortunate they are.

What?

^ I just didn't look at the post after I submitted it - that was the problem. It wasn't the bus - I remember posting something this morning when that was the case. The post in question is from yesterday 19:07. But I'm often posting something and then heading to another site. Regardless, it was a mistake, and I admitted it openly the first time I saw it mentioned. Even Iván didn't react strongly to it ... only after he had found the original post and suspected deliberate manipulation on my part he took this thing and ran with it ... just a few miles too far, and now he won't back down.

Did Iván have a reason to complain? Sure. Can he prove that I made a mistake? Granted. Does that give him the right to call me a liar? Don't think so.

/edit - Voilŕ - simple cut and past from one post to another and all the quote border's disappear. How much more proof is needed?

^^ I usually try to get the quotation code correct though, which is why I'm happy to call it a mistake ... I should have bothered to check the resulting post.

I will take it a "mistake" supported by  an unusual and  unlikely "coincidence".

^ you mean the coincidence being that this mistake happens to me rarely? Considering how many of my posts are replies to you, numerically speaking it's somewhat likely that such a mistake would happen in a reply to you - especially when we consider that your posts are typically quite complex, full of different formating and quotes (at least compared to my posts, on average).

Allow me to invoke the Fifth amendment to avoid saying what I really believe.....I'm "accepting" the "coincidence".

So you don't really accept anything - I'll remember that the next time when you (or Trademark) accuse me of not admitting anything.

I'm accepting the possibility of an unusual   mistake + unlikely "coincidence"..

It's "possible".

It may simply not be possible for you to let this go ... the way you're going about this tells me that you're not someone whom I'd like to consider a friend.

I love this thread so much. Can I give you all a hug?
<3

Now that the love is out of the way, would you like to get back to arguing about a book?

I'm just trying to change the channel, the current discussion seems kind of tapped out.

Sam Harris, like many anti-theists, does not understand what excommunication actually means, so that part of his argument is silly. He also places too much faith in "science" to resolve all our problems. I like science too, and it's ok to be against a god of the gaps, but I'm not sure some things will ever be possible, like an accurate lie detector. And obviously "science" has not always yielded results most people would consider ideal; ie, eugenics, lobotomies, Tuskegee, etc.

I think we should bring in Scully & Mulder to sort this all out.
