Fail.

Zappa was a genius, Vander is a brilliant composer but never crossed so many genres and the music of Magma will always sound too serious for the every-day listen for me.

Vander is a genius as well - not only has he written all of the music, he's also developed a language for the band to use.  Something Uncle Frank never did (to my knowledge).  Plus, as Magma's music is too serious for an every-day listen for you, Frank's doesn't work as an every-day listen for me either anymore.  Plus, Magma's got better bassists and a better drummer. Wink

Not to mention, Klaus mother-f**kin' Blasquiz

I know lots of people already know the  Jade chante Magma cliup with the young girl singing part of KA I -- http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x4hh7q_jade-chante-magma_music

But I just came across this, in fact my daughter noticed it when I was looking up Magma videos (young  girl "Otis" karaoke time):

And check this out:

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Magma = Serious Business.

They've always been off in fantasy land while Uncle Frank was tackling the real world and its stupidity.

I liked it, but I wish he had done the whole album.  Wouldn't be as good as the original, but still.

Thanks for that video that made my night.Unbelievable!
Frank was very influential but he didn`t create a genre like MAGMA did.

I don't really understand how Magma is "emotionally stirring." This isn't necessarily a bad thing, though; not all music has to be.

One of the few times that I find myself very much agreeing with Walter. LOL

IF IT'S NOT TALKING ABOUT THE DEATH OF THE PLANET IN A FICTIONAL LANGUAGE, THEN IT'S TOTALLY MAINSTREAM AND WAY TOO COMEDIC FOR ME.

Kobaian started the same way every "real" language did, you know.  I guess English is a fictional language too. Wink  Frank talks about the real world and its stupidity in a made up language too, so you should probably stop listening to him. Tongue
