Well, the US has already taken part in the standardization of road signs, human rights and a bunch of other stuff too. Maybe there is resistance because . . . . . Well, I really don't know why.

Well, I guess I'm wrong, taking that the foot length was changed on purpose in order to allow that to happen. Hell, if you could change the measurements of you system 50 years ago so that it makes more sense, why not change to a whole new system that makes sense the most?
