Lewis Hamilton has played the race card.......... "Maybe it's because I'm black. That's what Ali G says."

Sorry Lewis, but I respect you as a human being and frankly....... the color of your skin never comes into it. That goes for everyone in this sport. I am actually very positive surprised how little racism there are in motorsport. Therefore, for you to drag this race card out of your pocket is so bloody, bloody cheap and makes me seriously doubt it you have a couple of screws loose. I expected better from you. Much better. And you are plainly wrong. Very wrong.

Paul Di Resta got a couple of penalties himself. He did not say "Maybe I am Scottish. That's what Rab C Nesbitt says", did he ?

Sorry, but you should be ashamed of yourself. Angry

eh I don't think it's really that serious man.
Especially the Scottish one. Really sounds a like a joke, I'd say the same for Hami.
Doesn't mean the jokes are any good but I'd say just chillax LOL

Well, the British press and others who has supported Hami because of his skills is not impressed and it is fair to say that Hami has really failed them. Well, make that us. I am a fan myself.

But Hami is in the Ayrton Senna mould where everyone else is wrong and only he is right. That also means he has superb skills on the racing track. So I guess we have to turn a blind eye/ear to the childish noises and just marvel at his skills. The overtake he pulled on Schumi earlier in the race was........... well, unearthly Godlike. And I am in no doubt Hami is one of the five best racing drivers ever.

That may be but you know, media overreacts. lol
And turning a blind eye? Man you are really hyped up over this!
Even if they are serious, like an athlete never says stupid things! Just whatever. As you said, not like his skin has anything to do with it, he's a great driver.

I am certain though they are at least somewhat joking.

Lewis was joking, but it was a really bad joke and the question is do the powers that be see it as a joke? Even if they do, he could be in deep sh*t with the FIA for "bringing the sport into disrepute".

The wing damage had no effect on Massa's crash, Brubdle said he couldnt really see any damage on the left hand side of the wing which touched Webber's car which mean he probably only lost one of the small flow conditioners. They effect the rear of the car so he would have oversteered off if that had an effect, but he understeered, and it was his fault for being out on the marbles in the first place.

I have to agree that Button isnt on that list of all time greats with Hamilton, Alonso and Vettel (who will certainly be there the way he's going), but he's still one of the top 5 drivers on the grid (I include Kubica as the 5th member of that group) and badly underated IMO.

Kubica is absolutely one of the tops, I'd much rather see him in the seat. Yes, Button is good of course but second tier for sure. Like I said, I just always see him as smooth but I'm sorry I don't feel it in him. He 100% deserved that title but it was a weak one IMO as well.

Kubica is certainly a top tier driver. Besides the obvious, I remember one announcer saying a while back he lost like 30 pounds, since it was better to be lighter.
He was asked, but you're already rail thin how did you lost 30 pounds without giving up muscle mass? His response was he did, and still can wheel those cars around like a champ! I joke about the being almost Ukrainian thing, which James runs with like crazy all the damn time, but really Kubica is just a beast.

Yeah, sorry if I was harsh at all Torodd but it drives me crazy when people over react to racial issues just as much as when they are created. Just some not very funny jokes. Especially Hami, can't see him honestly being like that. However, as Sleeper said the fat cats on top (who are barely human I think!) will make a very big deal of it I'm sure.
Apparently you can't bring the sport into disrepute either...so he could be in hot water there.

edit: Oh, also I am really impressed with Kam. He may be one of the better drivers in the field.

Sorry Lehto. I thought Hami was genuinly moaning. Not joking. Hence my anger. Sorry about that. But the joke was not particular good, as Hami admitted.

Oh yeah, they definitely were not.

All this open wheel talk, been a while since I've seen a good sports car race! In 15 minutes the Rolex Series will be at Lime Rock Park. Excellent.

I think his saying that other drivers were terrible is potentially worse, rather the Ali G joke.

haha yeah
But F1 is so uptight it seems.

Talk about other drivers? In NASCAR it wasn't even a true race at Bristol if there weren't at least 2 fights!
Although that was 95% of the time for show, like the retarded brawls at hockey games.
Kinda imagined them being in each others face "Hey Joe, you spun me I know sh*t happens but the crowd needs a fight!" "Yeah it was my bad bro! And I hear ya so I'm gunna like hold my fist at you and you'll punch me one time!"

Not in skill Caio, just in his having a horrible attitude LOLTongue

Reminds me of a comment I read once on some racing forum. As a kid, this guy was at a race with his father and asked him what he thought of Senna. His father said he was a reckless, dangerous driver and probably insane. Also he was the greatest one ever.

Just don't have people like that anymore in F1Cry

Wait, I did hear something about Bahrain...are they putting it back on? It's not a random move though, the option was there and the race organizers had a certain time to respond to the FIA with if they were gunna have the GP ready. Are they??

LOL, k then, I believe we can agree on this one LOL. And he was also terrible with the ladies, he only had gold diggers, the poor guy. . .

What I've heard on CNN, they still have three weeks to settle this, but if Bahrein is indeed put in, either it is the last race or India, in mid November. Those damn Arabs are going to trample over Interlagos over my dead body! Angry Tongue

Caio you're making racist and horrible comments again Wink
Hey man, when you're a stud racecar driver woman problems are gunna arise.

It only makes sense to add Bahrain, besides the money it was slated on the schedule originally. Though the traditionalist in me does want to see Brazil kept as the final race. Really not a big deal, but it's what I'm used to!

As far as I know, Bahrain wants back on just to prove everything is OK now and Bernie wants it for the $$$$, but the teams dont want an extra race with a shortend winter and they arent convinced of the safety. They've got about a week or 2 left to sort this out. If does go back on, Bahrain will be put in before Abu Dhabi and India will be moved to the final on December 4th.

Oh, and Hamilton is as good as Senna.Wink
