Thanks for listening in.

Please do share with anyone you think will like it...and then, just to be different, share with those who you think WON'T like it too...

Whoa, that was fantastic! Really nice. Loved the production. Great texture to the song, love how it built up.

Ah, greetings good sir.

Has indeed been a while...but hopefully we're back and ready to rock...or something!

As far as I'm aware, it's 13th February for release...barring no issues.

As mentioned before, I'll report back with any news and definitely a link to a media player, when we get permission from the label.

Would you be interested in reviewing the record, like last time?

Ben

Thanks so much for the answer, I look forward to hearing this. You did a good job of being vague, but still
conveying how inspired you were in making it, and that goes a long way. I'll definitely stay in touch.

Phew!
Glad it didn't come across as just dribbling nonsense!

Hope you enjoy the record when it comes out...I'll post on the forum when we have the go-ahead to share some audio.

Greetings...ermmm...Arrested Decay.
We're glad you enjoyed our debut album and are looking forward to the new record.

I'm not too keen on selling the record short or telling people what they going to hear...as it's not my place to do that.
I prefer people listen and tell US what they've heard...as it always comes from different angles.

However, I will say that maybe the song-writing has 'matured' a little, perhaps?
That's the general feedback we've got from friends and the label.

Don't get me wrong, It's still bat-sh*t crazy in places...but I think as we've got older, changed our tastes and toured with bands that CAN ACTUALLY PLAY...we've learnt a lot.

When I was writing to record, I knew I wanted to build on what we started on 'Evolution...' and continue refining that process, all the while introducing new elements and continuing on a (hate to use this term) logical path of progression...without detracting from the original idea of what we are...a rock/metal band.

It's not going to please everyone...neither was our intention to try and do so.
We simply wanted to refine what we've been building the last 6-8 years, while embracing new ways of writing.

Unfortunately, the genre we're in randomly is what drives us on...progression.
We NEVER want to stagnate and will always try something new..but without stepping too far into realms foreign to us.

Some of the songs were literally written from ONE non-sinusoidal waveform.

...it's a quite spectacular thing when I think about it now...considering ALL the other madness that is going now on in the songs...but yeah, some songs were literally built from a one noise/sound.

Funny how inspiration works, no?
Smile

It's out in just over a month's time...they'll be audio snippets online to hear VERY soon.

We hope you all will enjoy what we've done.

And stay in contact...we're ALWAYS interested in hearing what people think of the record...as long as it's well constructed feedback...not that I tend to pay real attention to anything like that when I write anyway...but it's always interesting to read...

I love what I've heard of your band's work, it's funny I came across this topic, I JUST got your previous album. I greatly look forward to this!

How would you say it differs from the prior album? Anything in particular new you're trying?

Ah, it's been a while since I've been round these 'ere parts!
Tongue
(Hope this is being posted in the correct place, if not...please move it.)

Just dropping by to update y'all and to say hi to the various board members who welcomed myself and the band to the board a couple of years back.
(Special hello to UMUR, J-Man, The Progtologist and anyone else who took time to welcome us)

It's been a quiet 2011 in many ways for the band, various difficulties and "life getting in the way" saw the band close out the promotional campaign for our debut album (Evolution: Creatio Ex Nihilio) with a short jaunt around the UK as part of the 'Classic Rock Prog' magazine tour in March 2011...which was fun, but all too brief!

Things were frustrating to say the least...I won't elaborate, but it was all very annoying...trust me on that.

Now, despite what seemed to be a lot of things going against us...we've not been lazy in this time...oh no, my progalicious chums!

I started writing new material for the new album and I'm proud to say, that despite a lot of things seemingly wanting to stop us...we've completed it and are preparing to start the campaign to promote it.
Big smile

The new album is entitled 'Life...And All It Entails' and is due out on Mascot Records/Music Theories Recordings in February 2012.

It was recorded with Rob Aubrey (Transatlantic, IQ, Spocks Beard, Tony Levin) at his Aubitt Studios in Southampton, England over a period of about 20 days during October, November and December 2011.

We're hoping to tour in support of it and as soon as we have anything concrete to confirm...it'll be on our website in the TOUR section.

I believe the label are planning to release a song in a couple of weeks, followed by sharing another tune just before the actual release...so unfortunately, I cannot share any music right now...but if you trust me enough not to lie to you (and why would I?), I have to say we are collectively proud of this record and it's sonically, a bit of beast.
Approve

Thanks for reading and we hope you are able to listen to the new material, as well as the old material, if you haven't had a chance.

Stay disco, kiddies.

Ben
