I was going to ask the same damn thing.  Even Yahoo has announced that Romney "soared to victory" in Arizona.

They base these headlines on exit polls.  It's embarrassing, if you ask me- it's almost as though the media reckons themselves as prophets.

More than that though, they influence other primaries by announcing these "results" as they do.

Does anyone know, is there an over/under number in Vegas on Romney's IQ?
Can you tell me where we're headin'?

Probably. And the line probably sits at slightly above average.

You know I hate prohibiting things, even worse so when government does this, but since elections are a government's party, there's a rule applied in other countries that wouldn't be so bad here: no poll results publication allowed a couple of days before an election, and no exit polls allowed until a specific time after voting has ended. It's just adding rules to a government's game anyway.

Any truth to the rumor that he's going to go all Elvis on us, and start handing out Cadillacs to randomly chosen individuals?

Edited:
Good to hear slightly above average. Didn't want a moron (IQ in 50-75 range) getting any sort of nomination. Not is this country.

Mine are from as reliable a source as yours. The internet. Though dictionaries up through the '80s generally held these definitions to be true. I did mention 'deprecated'.  Agreed it's a stupid concept but it was rigorously applied to those of us who went to school in the '60s.

To be fair, here's my link:

As long as I'm being an a****le in this thread tonight, can we safely assume that Mitt does indeed wear his Mormon underwear during his many campaign stops, and in fact all the time?

Exit polls are nothing more than a jobs program for the pollish. Wink

The Internet is no more a source than the road you took to get to a library is a source.

I'm unaware of a president having a low IQ. I'm not sure why it matters since IQ doesn't really measure anything, and a smarter president doesn't necessarily make a better one.

Can I ask something? Is it possible to break away from the two-party system or is that an unsurmountable obstacle?

The media created Santorum, awhile back, as the best-case-scenario for Obama's opponent.  If they hadn't it would have been very interesting to see how the crossover vote would have worked for Paul in Michigan.  Had independents and democrats come out to vote on civil liberty issues and foreign policy issues instead of for shenanigans it might have been interesting.  Oh wait... what am I saying?  I'm giving democrat voters way too much credit for independent thought.

You mean for a new party to take the place of one of our two parties? That's possible. It's possible for a third party to maybe win an election. We're always going to have our one party system though.

Zero the hero?

I mean, clearly at zero Romney was leading the pack over all the rest who were getting zero.  What the hell is the matter with you?

Anyway Mitt done himself proud and won the state sort of shaped like his name.  And got Azirona which may be shaped like his head or something.
