Ok, so I won a gift card here at work and wanted to hear what you all have to say about the four albums above.  I can afford two of the four.

Which ones do you like, what do you like about them.

Also, am I missing anything important, is there something similar that you recommend.  I generally prefer Symphonic, Neo, Crossover and Heavy Prog and for this purchase I'm looking for something released in the past year.

The Tangent - COMM is a great, great album! You NEED it.

I don't know the other 3 albums...

Do you have the most recent Beardfish album?

Oooh, I forgot about Beardfish, that's certainly one to think about also.  Thanks Darkshade.

Personally, I'd go with something that you can only get on Itunes. I'm fairly certain that the ones above can be found on CD ... wouldn't you rather have physical copies if you can?

I doubt that there is anything exclusively on Itunes, that any Prog fan would like.

These four are on the 'maybe I'll get around to getting them at some point' list.  Frankly, I think that's why I forgot the Berdfish CD as I know I'll be getting the physical CD at some point.  These four, I may or may not get.  Yep, I'd rather have the physical CD in all cases, but since I won the gift card, I'm thinking of using it on a 'cusp' purchase.

The Tangent album is the only decent thing up there.

There is. One of the bands that has become quite popular in the past year here, Cardiacs, is exclusively on iTunes because their albums are long out of print. I doubt they are the only example.

Well I mean, there isn't anything on Itunes that was never released on a cd/vinyl/cassette, that Prog fan would like, Probably.

The Tangent and Arena out of that list.

I voted It Bites but you should get the Beardfish record. Also Squackett was released today.

COMM.  But you should get the CD.  Or vinyl, I suppose!  (No idea if that's available, but cover would probably be wonderful in full album size!)

I got Map of the Past and found it rather lacking, at least after only a couple listens.

Never heard of Dec Burke.
