Need I say more? Sometimes it's not the player himself, but the context of his performance, and the music of Magma was always more challenging than Genesis or Camel.

	Top is great, but also repitive in his style. Bert Ruiter is a great allround bassplayer who can improvise. I love that.

	There are many excellent and generally appreciated Classic Prog Bass Guitarists, like Squire, Lake, Lee, Wetton, Levin, Ray Shulman, Trewavas etc. And there are...the others, which aren't mentioned so often in various charts, polls and forums. They aren't weak at all, rather perhaps overshadowed by their band-mates. Who's your favourite?
