My best findings in the past year: Transatlantic, Spock's Beard, pretty  much half of Neal Morse's projects.
Also realized there were many better Flower Kings songs than those that were on Space Revolver. LOL

Some other greats not by these artists that I've found this past year: "Harvest of Souls" by IQ, "Milliontown" by Frost*, "Amarok" by Mike Oldfield, "K.A" by Magma, "Visions" by Haken.
"We have grown, but there is still much to be done. Many that live in darkness that must be shown the way, for it is the dawning of a new day."

I bought one of their albums a few days ago in New York, I had never heard of them. The cover looked like some sort of electronic, but I now know that it's not. I sampled a track or two, and it sounded good.

For me it's been Riverside.
Started listening to Memories in my Head and loved it. Then went album after album in release order, and they went right into my most played list.

So far I guess my greatest discovery is "Riverside". Still haven't heard anything from their earlier albums but this years "Shrine of New Generation Slaves" is simply amazing! Will make sure to see them when they come here in September.

After about 5 years of not discovering any new prog, this year I've found:

Discipline - To Shatter All Accord
Kyrie Eleison - Fountain Beyond the Sunrise
Pentacle - La Clef Des Songes
Mona Lisa - Grimaces
Caravan - In the Land of Grey and Pink
Bacamarte - Depois Do Fim
Ian Anderson - Thick as a Brick 2
Big Big Train - English Electric Part 1

Thanks to PA I'm back in prog hunter/gatherer mode Thumbs Up
