I like the fact that Mastodon's new album title has the acronym of OATS.

In other news, i'm listening to Phil Collins' greatest hits and wishing they han't omitted a couple of my favorite ballads in favor of some of the more corny upbeat tunes. Its only 74 minutes long THEY COULD HAVE INCLUDED DO YOU REMEMBER... WHY DO I HAVE TO HEAR TWO HEARTS INSTEAD OH GOD WHY WHY

tfw Phil Collins

Yeaup. Boxer is also worth checking out although it's my least favorite of latter-day National. I've never been able to get into their first two, though. They didn't really find their sound until Alligator

Going to start exploring Modest Mouse tomorrow.

Some record stores will remove scratches for you if they're only on the surface. Never heard a CD crackle though. Maybe it's the player.

I wanna write reviews but i feel like they're a waste :s

If it's a CD-R, i am fairly sure I've read that they degrade over time.

If it's an actual CD-recordable, you either have the files or can find them somewhere, so there's really not much to worry about. I have a feeling Doug meant CD-ROM, though.
