This is where I am so far in cataloging my collection.  Just seeing how the readability is on your browsers, if you wouldn't mind taking a look.
Shocked Built to Spill
I never thought to ask you if you listened to them

Also, what is your opinion on Throwing Muses? I've listened to a little bit of their stuff, and conceptually it's interesting, but I've not really been able to get into it.
I like Built to Spill quite a lot, though I really didn't like their last one from a few years ago.  Keep it Like a Secret is my favorite.  Perfect From Now On is a close second, and You in Reverse third.

Throwing Muses... I'm pretty much of the same mind.  Long ago in the 80s I saw an early video of theirs on some underground video show ("120 Minutes" maybe?) for a tune called "Fish" which was really cool, kind of psychedelic avant gardey.  Maybe about 2 years ago I found a double CD containing a couple of early albums/EPs and that song was on it (a different version, as it happened).  I've given it a couple of spins but more often than not it sounded like average folky Americana alternative.  The singer has an original voice but overall I haven't gotten into it.
If only hitting 'download' let you download all of those. Bandwidth  (and legality of several hundred free downloads) be damned.Tongue

autism, We Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank was really good, but there were parts I wasn't too thrilled about (particularly the backing vocals. James Mercer wasn't really a great counterpart to Isaac Brock.), but Johnny Marr was at the top of his game on it. The Moon and Antarctica I thought was fantastic. The lyrical themes and aesthetic felt very natural and the album really hit where it counted. Both good though. I'm not particularly interested in the rest of their discography from the stuff I've heard so these'll have to do.

Yea those two and Good News For People Who Love Bad News are the main three i listen to.

Sitting Venom is by far my favorite song by them. And March On.. is just the perfect pump-up song for me.

I really didn't like "Float On" so I'm hesitant to listen to GNFPWLBN

That song was why I avoided them all this time. But I'm in the minority there.

Anybody here listen TV on the Radio?

I felt the same way when I sampled them a while back but recently I've started to enjoy them. I think it was probably the album I sampled at first.

He's one of my favorite artists of all time- Top 5 easily. I owe it to shred that i found him because a long time ago i always saw Matt and others talk about him.

I didn't like him whatsoever at first, but i forced myself to listen to Lee Lewis Harlots every so often until it just clicked.
Brilliant vocalist, compelling songwriter, and a unique sound.

My favorite song by him.

I very strongly suggest you listen to his most recent three albums: Petr & The Wulf, Jay Munly and the Lee Lewis Harlots, and Jimmy Carter Syndrome. Anywhere is a fine place to start but i'll leave you one from each other album ..

Needed to show Sambo :3
