Holy sh*t.
That is extremely scary... very dangerous type of accident that is.

Glad they were all OK. Including crew members and fans...a stall on the start up makes me think of Imola '94

Hell yeah, Jeff Gordon got his 89th career win at Kansas tonight!  And on the 20th anniversary of his first career win at Charlotte.  This should pretty much lock him in the Chase now.  Awesome stuff.

Great race in Spain, Hamilton and Rosberg going at it again, Ricciardo finally gets that podium, Vettel fighting from 15th to 4th, the Ferrari's fighting and Grosjean finally gets some points. Monaco next, should be very interesting.

Cool to see Jeff Gordon still driving well.
Well, he's been fine but I've long thought champion caliber pace was over. Seems like a legit contender this year.
Though he should've won a title years ago with that unholy year he had (30 top tens!?) but the whack ass playoff system cost him.

Thought Spain was actually a snoozer for the first 3/4 but the last few laps got super tense as Nico was slowly reeling Lewis, Alonso reeling in and passing Kimi, and Vettel's final push all the way to 4th.

Gotta be honest, as great as a driver as he is, (and I used to like Hamilton) he seems to be such a baby. His personality is extremely off putting. Guy had a dominant race, his 4th win and took the title lead and he seemed more concerned with questioning the teams motives all race long, didn't even say a single word to the team on his cool down lap. Is this another McLaren? Where is he gunna jump to next year to avoid a fight from his teammate?

Anyway, Merc dominant again. Congrats to Ricciardo on getting his, erm...first podium. Mature, patient drive from Vettel. Rest of the points went fairly typically, though cool to see Grosjean break into the points finally.
Yet again Vettel was outdone by Ricc and Alonso tops Kimi. Some great team dynamics this year.

MONACO! Can't wait.

^Agreed on the F1 race and Hamilton in general.  The team is providing him with the best car in the field and he's acting like the team is trying to sabotage him.  Just knock it off and drive.

I dont know, he's lots several races in the past when he's just taken the teams information as is, it's nice to see he's reached the point of his career where he's comfortable questioning the information he gets to make sure it's right (for instance, questioning why the team was going to turn down the front wing 3 notches when he felt it only needed 2). I guess he doesn't come across as the most polite person on the radio but then neither does Kimi. Also has to be said that we don't get anywhere near all the radio messages.

Ed Carpenter wins the pole for the second straight year for the Indy 500 with an average speed of 231.067 MPH!  Crazy fast!

I've just read that triple world champion Sir Jack Brabham passed away this morning at 88, the only man to win a world championship in a car bearing his own name.

RIP to a true great of the sport.

RIP Jack

The 3 time champ I've heard almost nothing about ever...thank goodness for Wikipedia or I'd not know the name.

Monaco finally! I'm already pumped. Also hoping maybe Nico can best Lewis this time, and maybe Fernando sneaking into 3rd

I'm taking it one step further and including the 600 in this, as well.  It's tradition for me to "The Triple" every year, although, sometimes my body tells me otherwise and I sleep through half of Monaco.  Can't wait!  Best day of the year for racing! Big smile

I figured you would! I used to catch the 600, not so much these days but it is a biggie.

Nico on pole! :O Maybe a chance to hold off Lewis?

We'll see by the first turn or couple of laps.  Should be good, though.  I'm glad Nico's pole was upheld after the controversy concerning the end of Q3.  Seems like some bad blood is brewing between those two, for sure.

Well, despite Nico leading every lap, it was a pretty interesting Monaco GP with some interesting storylines.  Also, Jenson scored a 6th place finish!  Almost feels like a podium!  Besides Nico, though, the biggest winner of the race has to be Jules Bianchi and Marussia scoring their first ever points with a 9th place finish (even with 2 penalties).  And a driver I'm really starting to like is Daniel Ricciardo.  Maybe I'm a little late to the party, but he just seems like a cool guy and he seems happy no matter what and he's definitely a rising star in F1, even overtaking his 4-time champion teammate in the points today.  As for Lewis Hamilton, I'm not sure what to think of him anymore, but there definitely is some bad blood between he and Rosberg.  If you noticed in the post race celebrations, they didn't even make eye contact with one another and Lewis' podium interview was short and awkward.

Well, it may be only delaying the inevitable but Nico manages to re take the points lead with his 2nd straight Monaco win Clap Awesome stuff.
Brilliant. Soon as he beat Lewis off the start I figured he had this long as he doesn't make a mistake, or any car issues, and this exactly what we had.

Strange news about Lewis with something in his eye (I think?) hope that was nothing serious, though it did allow Ricciardo to make things exciting at the end.
Rough race for Kimi who had to claw up through the field twice, and kind of blew it at the end.

Good results for Alonso, McLaren and of course Jules Bianchi who nabbed 9th placeClap Epic

Since I watched the race on tape, now straight to the Indy 500!

Quite the eventful race, and a really good run from Bianchi to get some points, they're ahead of Sauber now.
