For your Krautrock listening, can I make a suggestion? I'm not sure if you have a phone or mp3 player, but if you can, then try to take this kind of music out into nature with you. Listening to this stuff whilst strolling through a forest all by yourself is life-changing. Anywhere you can be yourself, together with the music and some kind of scenery, is a wonderful way of experiencing a Popol Vuh album for example. In den Gärten Pharaohs and lakes work especially nice togetherBig smile

I think the album's ending is responsible for that: I don't like the tribe singing at the end, and since one of the main impressions that I have of an album is the ending, I probably won't listen to it so often. That's my theory anyway Tongue

I'm listening those Krautrock albums on Youtube/Grooveshark, so I'm not mobile. I'll try it when I'll have the real thing Wink

Just keeps getting sweeter and sweeter this oneBig smile

The Bowie release I'm listening to atm is soooo much better than what it's reputation leads you to believe. Real cracker of a live album imo.

If you have a mobile and some head phones, then the YouTube thang is possibleSmile Anyways I understand where you're coming from in regards to that ending. I feel it is the perfect closing to an absolute adventure of a track. You can't account for taste eh?LOL

How did you find Letzte Tage, Letzte Nachte?

^ It's really good, quite pastoral as the cover indicates. It's difficult to describe much more than this after the first listen Tongue

Pastoral is a pretty precise description methinks. Pretty is another, although without it being sugary sweet.
It is an album that grows on you - at least it did with me. The guitar work of Veit really shines through now.

Animal Collective - Strawberry Jam

A highly experimental/psychedelic/electronic indie rock band. Similar to PT in that every album changes their styles in a way.

Get on it, definitely. I think they have a side to them that often mimics the psychedelic Krautrock twist. Especially their second album simply called ll proves this. It's on the third one as well (the blue one, which is the one I highly suspect you have. For some reason, it's the one that's plentiful on the market - or perhaps the one most fans have gotten rid of, which is complete non-sense if you ask me. Every bit as wonderful as the preceding ones, and still has that Middle-Eastern tang to the sound.), but I guess you'll pick it up yourselfWink
Ok it's the debut album that I have, I'm giving it a first spin right now Thumbs Up

Cult of Fire's Ascetic Meditation of Death. A black metal band that switched ideology from Satanism to Hinduism between their 1st and 2nd LPs. No, they're not from India but from the Czech Republic.
