That was the first Hansson album I got, it took me a while but after I got hold of all his albums I must say this debut is my least favourite, definitely a good album but the rest are better.

hard for me to say.. I literally grew up listening to LotR.. but I will say... Magicians Hat gets played around here the most these days and with regularity. Usually once a week either one of us pops it into the CD player. Probably my favorite from an enjoyment standpioint but LotR is definitely the most groundbreaking of the group... and perhaps the best starting point.  As I noted in a review of it... when you listen to it... you actually feel as if you are being chased by the black riders.  Well done.. not merely a soundtrack but a sonic adaptation...
