Opera-Rock version of 1971 "La Biblia (Según Vox Dei)"

I'd say it's rather confusing than clarifying. Wink

As I understand now, this album on PA http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=9312 (by the way, I just noticed that we used CD cover instead of original LP and changed it) is a 1974 version (reworked and recorded by various artists) of the album "La Biblia (Según Vox Dei)" originally released in 1971 by the band Vox Deihttp://www.discogs.com/Vox-Dei-La-Biblia-Seg%C3%BAn-Vox-Dei/release/2838535.

Right?

^ Exactly so, as I understand it too (hence my proposal of making a cross reference).

^^ I could swear there's an orchestra somewhere on the back (I have it as bonus on remastered CD and listened to it a couple of times) and on impulse volunteered to enrich the update with that additional info;
but now you raise the doubt, and since can see no confirmaton anywhere, I must in total honesty admit I might be wrong and just be sorry for the inconvenience - everyone makes mistakes, right? Embarrassed

E&O Team: Thanks, done.
1. Made a reference.
2. OK, no orchestra, at least untill we'll have no doubts.

^ I see it's not that simple with The Gourishankar:

1. Looks like "Integral Sympony" should be moved to Demo/EPs.

2. It's not clear was "Close Grip" http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=17824 (yes, it's 2003 record) released before 2007.
By the way, bandcamp link shows the same cover as on PA. Confused

I'll manage these things a bit later.

And "2nd Hands" http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=15009 - all sources tell it's 2007.
Where the info of 2006 is taken from?

There´s a problem with the HTML tagging in this review: http://www.progarchives.com/Review.asp?id=132984 which results in the rest of the reviews on the album profile to be all bold.

^ Technically I can correct this, but I'm not familiar with this band, their site (at least at first glance) does not give precise line-up information.

1. I see more than 2 musicians involved in recording these 2 albums: http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=40566 and http://www.progarchives.com/album.asp?id=40567, so I can't decide is it a duo or a trio.
Please contact Progressive Electronic team if you insist these changes are necessary.

2. The photos you refer are not better than the current one, so I don't see reasons to change it.

3. As any registered PA member you can add missing albums by yourself.

.........................................

"Close Grip" - I read here and there that it was released in 2003, but even in Russian area nothing confirms that 2003 release exist.
It reads: СD1 – Close Grip (2003,  reissued in 2008), but nothing says that it was released in 2003.

From the interview with Alexander Agranovich (aka Nomy Agranson):
"He [Vitaly Melnikov] recommended us to contact the famous Musea Records label, refering to his, significant for Musea, name, and ask the label to listen to our demo. Musea gave positive response but said the music should be re-recorded. Thus the long reworking process started and in the end "Integral Symphony" demo turned to "Close Grip" album.
................................................
But in parallel we began the work on "2nd Hands", and we postponed already finished "Close Grip", our first album. [We thought]: if it will be published - OK, if not - no problem. So it was postponed until 2006 while we were unhurriedly making "2nd Hands".

(Original text in Russian:
(http://artbeat.ru/2014/12/05/s-agranovichem-iz-gurishankara-ili-na-poroge-sbychi-mecht/)

So I would stick to "recorded in 2003, released in 2008". At least until we get the confirmation that it's not so.

And once again:

Track 13 is Bonus only on 2006 reissue, please make needed reference

Line-up is like this

- Larry Coryell / lead guitar, sitar (2), vocals
- Jim Pepper / tenor saxophone, flute
- Columbus "Chip" Baker / rhythm guitar, vocals
- Bobby Moses / drums
- Chris Hills / bass

- Bob Thiele / producer
- Rudy van Gelder / engineer

The correct (I guess, from what I gathered) cover is here

http://www.discogs.com/The-Free-Spirits-Featuring-Larry-Coryell-Out-Of-Sight-And-Sound/release/2862796

(better quality than the american cover
http://www.discogs.com/Free-Spirits-Out-Of-Sight-And-Sound/release/2862994 )

Since you are on discogs try to read the informative cover notes, and then go here

and be brave and go here

Not extremely wrong but judge by yourself

Correct original (2005) track list;

1. 10:66 (8:47)
2. Humber Doucy Lane (8:55)
3. Silent And Invisible Converts (7:30)
4. October Moth (3:49)
5. Lilly Lockwood (8:18)
6. The March Of The Mad Clowns (3:35)
7. Pigwhistle (14:48)

Total time 55:42

the one presented on PA is from the 2014 remix/remastered

1. At Long Last... (1:01)
2.  10:66 (7:46)
3. Humble Doucy Lane (8:55)
4. Silent And Invisible Converts (7:29)
5. October Moth (3:48)
6. Lilly Lockwood (8:18)
7. The March Of The Mad Clowns (3:35)
8. Pigwhistle (14:00)
9. God Save The King (0:48)

Total time 55:40

So line-up would be also corrected to (Bio says they started as a trio)

- Ian Fitch / guitar, xylophone
- Karl Mallet / bass, effect tapes
- Simon Green / drums, percussion

With
- Steven Mann / keyboards
- Anvar Valiyev / violin, narration (1)
