For me TSoR all the way, because I feel it's a better song.

Classical music isn't dead, it's more alive than it's ever been. It's just not on MTV.

I don't listen to FM radio, so I've never had any problem of getting oversaturated with these fine rock songs. The Spirit of Radio is my favourite Rush track, though, so it got my vote.

Limelight, The Spirit of Radio is the one weaker song on Permanent Waves.

This one is harder than the previous. I like both. Nevertheless I think The Spirit of Radio is my favourite of these two.

The Spirit Of Radio is it. For some reason I've always liked it. Permanent Waves was my second LP I heard from Rush after 2112 (it was back in the '80th) and as TSOR is the opening song it was the first taste of this record. And I loved it then. And to some degree this feeling lasts over three decades :-) Surely it isn't the best song in Rush's career but nevertheless. You can call it nostalgia maybe.

You must be Jone-sing for a thread to drag out that FM whore Limelight.

"Limelight"...easily. A classic riff, some of Neil's best lyrics, one of Alex's best solos (and his tone has never sounded better), and a truly riveting climactic outro!

Spirit of Radio have one of most incredible overtures of prog rock in all times, Limelight have a very difficult ( for execution) broken beat after the first verses. My vote is Spirit of Radio by a nail
