Hello everyone! I don't know how often I'll be here as I'm a habitual lurker, but...

I've actually been using the Prog Archives as a personal reference for years, but honestly didn't know about the forum until recently, so I'm joining now.

As for what prog I listen to... Pink Floyd and Emerson, Lake, and Palmer are my two favorite prog groups. I also love pretty much anything Steven Wilson puts out (including Porcupine Tree, obviously, and Blackfield), early Yes (I can leave their more poppy stuff, though), early Genesis, later Beatles (I'm just not a fan of pop, honestly)... I do listen to a lot more, but don't feel like listing it all... Tongue

I play guitar myself, and have for a long time, but don't have a very high opinion of my playing abilities. If you really wanna hear me play, though, the most recent recordings I have are from 2006. Two are covers ("Money" and "Dark Globe"), and one is an original tune without lyrics.

Very nice cover of "Dark Globe". Welcome.
Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

that could either be a good thing or bad thing...  the site is quieter and more friendly today than it was in the past.. which means it is duller and less exciting than it was in the past.

Welcome to the site!  The forum may be a bit dull ... filled with lame threads and polls of lame albums and bands and even lamer fans of them hahah...but what makes the place are the people.. a great group of guys and a few gals who make the place still worth trollling even after all these years.

Enjoy the stay!
