Piero Piccioni featuring Catherine Howe - It's Possible

The perfect example.. Great voice in a high register, slow tempo, relaxing.

one of my deep cut favs from the mighty BOC. While Patti Smith is known more for her lyrics and poetry.. I completely dig her vocals on this gem.

Nice.  That was always a fave of mine as well... sometimes more than the famous songs from that album.

Always look back with fondness to Sandy Denny's turn on 'Zeppelin's 'Battle of Evermore. She died young, squashing the opportunities for further accomplishment. What could have been.

Yanick Etienne, the Haitian singer that Bryan Ferry heard in an adjoining studio as Roxy Music was recording the "Avalon" album.  Such a beautiful voice and her addition to that song was perfect.  I know it was in 1982 and not the 70's but she deserves mention.

By the way, I agree with Micky about the Revenge of Vera Gemini track on BOC's Agents of Fortune.  Those Patti Smith vocals are perfectly evil on that track.  One of my favs.

There was an all female band name ISIS. I saw them once, and they sounded very good.

Not sure if she's considered "unappreciated" so much as "unknown" but Jacqui McShee's lead vocal on the John Renbourn Group 1970 song 'The Plains of Waterloo' is magical Wink

Also, Mellow Candle's '72 album Swaddling Songs features Alison Williams who's brilliant on many of the songs...

for sure man...  BOC is one of the very few groups that the off beaten stuff is often far superior to the more famous Grts Hits songs.  Their albums and were for many years are littered with little unrecognized gems that would be masturbation pics for fans of other less talented groups.

It still seems that Annie Haslam (of Renaissance and solo work) remains... at least underappreciated and somewhat unknown. She isn't a household name for most, as I think she deserves to be.

I really like Sonja Kristina (Curved Air) too.

I've been listening to Illusion quite a lot after Renaissance (I like Jane Relf especially) and when someone mentioned them, I thought of this song, which I LOVE... Unfortunately, there isn't that much stuff.. I love the vocals + piano especially.
