Prog Songs Utilising Saxophone?

I have quite an appreciation for songs that use saxophone in a meaningful way, as I find them to sound simply incredible. Are there any prog songs that do this well?
I've already heard quite a variety, such as:
Caligula's Horse - Graves
The entire discography of the Mars Volta and Thank You Scientist
Native Construct - Passage
All the Pink Floyd songs that involve the sax
Van Der Graaf Generator
Shining - Fisheye
and the list goes on. What other songs or artists should I check out?

Don't miss King Crimson's "One More Red Nightmare" from the Red album - awesome sax!
 
Also, love the sax in Gentle Giant's "The Moon is Down" from Acquiring The Taste
 
Soft Machine's "Third" has some excellent sax on it from memory

Hi,

I do NOT look at ANY music, because of one instrument or another. SPECIALLY PROGRESSIVE, which is not about the instrument (definition sux on that one!), but the complete musical design and its beauty.

I find it sad, to think of one piece of music is this or that ... because of this or that ... 

It's not about the instrument ... it's about how it is integrated into the musical piece ... to be fair to the composer, you should not "see" or "hear" a saxophone ... you should hear a well done and put together piece of music!

But song folks want their gueetar solo ... I hope more folks like Frank put the guitar down and conduct the concert ... maybe it will show these people what music is and isn't.

Love the sax, and there's so much saxophone in a lot of the music I like. Didier Malherbe, Elton Dean, Lol Coxhill, Yochk'o Seffer Mel Collins, Dirk Engelhardt, and David Jackson are some of my favourites.

While yes it's important that a piece of music is well written, it's simply plain silly and quite ignorant to completely discount the idea of using different instruments to paint pictures with different tonal colours. Nobody's saying that a song is better with or without a saxophone, but sometimes it's interesting to hear the different uses of it and it will help someone discover new songs.

I suppose you must think Maurice Ravel is a hack because he wrote a piece of music with only two melodies and decided that changing up the instrumentation with each repetition made enough variety for the piece to last around 15 minutes.

What you're saying is about as silly as saying the only thing that matters in film is the script. Forget about the camera work, wardrobe, setting, acting abilities, lighting, none of that matters! Of course, good film makers will use all the factors to help tell their story.

Jay Beckenstein of Spyro Gyra owned BearTracks Studios where DT was recording Images and Words at the time and he plays sax on this song.

Nothing wrong with having a penchant for particular instruments and some music can fit certain instruments better than others. I love the saxophone, and love Comus' "The Return" (off of Out of the Coma), but I think that I would have preferred a different instrument in place of the sax in that song.

Jethro Tull (Passion Play - War Child era).

Also jazzier groups like The Square (T-Square) and The Rippingtons.

Frank Zappa (& the MOI). Frank regularly used sax. So regularly that it’s hard to pick out one piece in particular to highlight. I liked Napoleon Murphy Brock the best.

A Live Album by Camel has Mel Collins on saxophone and some of the older songs are enhanced by the addition of sax IMO.
