Albums that you find very generic and boring

Actually, we do not need "definitions" and it has been proved in theater for example. Peter Brook had, at one time in his workshop/theater in Paris something like 25/30 actors from 15 to 20 different places, and they could not speak to each other for the most part, and yet, rehearsals took  place and then ... you end up with THE MAHABHARATA ... which is an incredible piece of theater, if folks in a place like this had the inner peace and beauty to watch it.

Likewise, there were/are many experiments in music that involved improvisation without a solid idea of what things were, and one could say that early CAN material fit, that gave us things like TAGO MAGO, but that is something that we can not conceive, or understand, and sometimes ... music comes together in ways that we simply would not know about without these odd/weird mixes ... and things like early FAUST and a lot of the more experimental stuff that became better known as "krautrock" (the stuff that was much less "musical" and much more "experimental") that is listed in EUROCK, is something that we are afraid to look at and listen to ... none of it makes "any" sense, whatsoever, much like Peter Handke's short plays with words scrambled anywhere, also did not show a characterization or possible "communication" in any way that you and I can imagine, but ... somehow, well directed it works, and you can even use it as a "rap" exercise, and all of a sudden ... wow ... that's far out!

We have become convinced that everything that the human spirit "created" is the only truth ... and the real fact, specially for the arts where it is most visible, is THAT IT IS NOT THE ONLY TRUTH ... we simply have not the ability to find and listen and learn about new truths ... and this was a strong theme in science fiction 75 years ago ... have we learned nothing yet? We still can not grok anything!

Great voices there, too...Have you heard Mary Fahl (formerly October Project)?  Great contralto there, she's got a haunting version of Ben Aindi Habibi that she does and I loved OP's first LP and a lot of Mary's solo work (she performs all of Dark Side of the Moon live on occasion).  I really liked Madonna's La Isla Bonita...but not a fan of bullfighting, which isn't the issue here.

Agree.......I can go from Dream Theater to Peter Gabriel to John Coltrane to The Cars to Earth Wind & Fire to King Crimson.......How can music be boring? Like mentioned previously, the listener makes it such.
