Looking for stuff that sounds like an army from antiquity marching across the land. Some examples would be the end of Magma’s “Kreühn Köhrmahn Iss de Hündin” (from about 1:49 on):

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=oDAVTw86H9E

Amon Duul II’s “Eye Shaking King” (especially the eastern-sounding main riff)

https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=8DCn4_OT3KU

Or even Howard Shore’s Isengard theme (in a proggy 5/4 meter):

Any deep Magma cuts that explore this sort sound further? Maybe other Zeuhl or Krautrock bands?

Thanks

I've always thought this song by the English psychedelic band Bachdenkel has a good solid, military-sounding marching rhythm to it.....

Anytime a prog group did a version of bolero (often aping Ravel's)....

Triumph's first movement of the three-part The City is called War March.

^ Abaddons Bolero

ELP again but the Aquatarkus section of Tarkus has marching drums and also A March is the last section Of An Officer and A Gentleman from Love Beach.

Not prog but the Thunderbirds and Stingray themes by The Barry Gray Orchestra should be well on your radar.
