Steve Hackett's Shadow of the Hierophant with Sally Oldfield and Bill Bruford's Back to the Beginning with Annette Peacock.

A little darkness, dissonance, and atonality.

Helium Horsefly.
Doesn't quite meet your 15 minute standard but has a huge closing stanza.

Anna von Hausswolf.

Combat Astronomy with Elaine di Falco

No tube for this one.

A couple from OOIOO

Shub Niggurath.

All traps on Earth.
Not a lot of vox here, but all female.

I'm gonna suggest this album once more. Linda Perhacs  - Parallelograms, on PA under prog folk, very psychedelic as well though.

I discovered this earlier this week and have listened every day and it has blown my socks off every time without failure. For fans of Harmonium, this scratches that same itch.

I love that album, especially the title track, and was the one who suggested her for PA inclusion, but it doesn’t fit the topic which is looking for fifteen minute plus epics.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

It’s a great album, and will do. Vadhti Bunyans Just Another Diamond Day is the first to spring to mind. That’s anothef I suggested for PA. I don’t expect you to like it as much, though. My favourite Vashti song is Winter is Blue. These Trails has some of the same feel for me, love that album.

I meant to write Vashti Bunyan, I’m on my phone and even worse with type than usual.

It's just under 14 minutes so might not meet criteria but District 97's The Thief.

Or another favorite is Izz's 42.  Although your call on whether the guys sing too much on it.

^I considered IZZ, but definitely thought the male vocals played to big a part for the OP criteria. I also considered Universal Totem Orchestra, but the some problem existed.

Thieves' Kitchen have a number of 20 minute range epics with a female singer.

Then there's Frequency Drift with these two back to back 15 minute songs from Laid to Rest:

If the Izz suggestion interests you, there is also the Deafening Silence.  The guys sing a little on here, but it is mostly Laura and Annmarie.

A lot of good suggestions on this thread especially The Far Meadow (probably my best recent prog discovery) and Magenta - Trojan from their fabulous album We Are Legend.

Great piece, but only little over 12 minutes long. "Malgaard Suite" has also Roger Wootton together with Bobbie, it´s just over 15 minutes long, but sadly is very poorly recorded.

Hi,

Some nice and far out stuff ... loved it!

Anna von Hausswolf
Quite impressive, and an awesome show ... the kind of stuff that would make many folks at the Fillmore think that there was better acid on the stage than on the floor!

And really, that is probably one of the most original things I have heard in a while ... quite amazing, in concert, at least from the couple of videos on the Internet ... and it is a treat to actually see/hear someone incorporate sounds into the flow of the music, instead of it being an effect that comes off as a solo and not as strong/valuable as the music itself.

And, for once, that stuffed up drummer that only knows how to use his snare to drill a hole in your ears, in this case here we have a drummer, that reminds me of the early days of Nick Mason some, just going around the whole thing, and you almost didn't hear a single snare hit ... and all of it was thoughtfully used and it fit the orchestration style for the group, another outstanding feature.

Some great work, from what I have heard ... and worthy of more attention ... and sure hope to see this band around America one of these days ... this is worth it! I'll un-retire from live shows for this!

Frequency Drift's Laid to Rest
Very nice ... and I like the fact that while listening to this I could not even think of another band ... that is far out, and ends up putting a good listen in your mind!

I'm having a nice time hearing these things, but I really could use a few less King Crimson things, and a lot less of the stuff related to Magma. I enjoy Magma to no end, but for my ears almost everything is a cheap copy ... maybe one day I will find something NOT a copy!
Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!
