I have been a huge fan of this album, even though i originally owned it on cassette, being a kc fan had a influence on my progressive taste in music ,robert really made a masterpiece with this it has viritually everything kind of sound that a fan of robert fripp would want from the agressive DISENGAGE to the mellow MARY to ambient WATER MUSIC 1 AND WATER 2 to his work with peter gabriel EXPOSURE and HERE COMES THE FLOOD very akin to brian enos early records over one spectacular solo record.

Great album. North Star for me. Spirited vocals by Daryl Hall.

Great cast of players and I've always liked it,  but.....I also think it could have been better in some way....better songs.

Love this album!  Bob started to transition towards a more humorous approach to life.  I first met him about this time, he was very engaging and funny, as he remains today.

It's alright.

I'm not a fan, personally; too much retreading of familiar King Crimson material instead of finding an original voice. His two solo albums that followed this one are in my opinion far more fruitful and interesting.

I didn't know this about "Exposure"....

Most of the lyrics were provided by the poet and lyricist Joanna Walton, who was later killed on Pan Am Flight 103.[3]

....otherwise known as the "Lockerbie bombing."

With Exposure, Fripp sure knew how to make for an unsettled listening experience, but it’s one heck of an album. Hammill sounds totally unhinged on Disengage. So much to like on Exposure.
