I'm afraid the choice is all too obvious here.

Renaissance. I also like The Valentyne Suite, Shine on Brightly, Caravan and A Salty Dog, but there's not many others I like.
Never liked early Floyd, early Tull or the Moody Blues, and I long since got totally fed up of ITCOTCK. And the debuts by Genesis and Yes are truly awful.

ITCOTCK is going to win this so I'll show some love to Ummagumma.

Nice poll!
Thanks! I only wish I'd had room to include the self-titled debut album from Rare Bird, which includes this prog classic.....

I don't know why I forgot to include it. Pure magic.  The light classical music was a little hard for me to digest at first, and Lunch Break is still kind of goofy. But I've softened over the years. It does have the feel of a vintage "visit our lovely holiday resort"/word from our sponsors-feel, but even that has its charm.

I would have to agree with Psych Paul about the Moodys' DAYS OF FUTURE...  hearing it played on the college FM station KPPC from Pasadena while hanging in the Green Room of the Drama Department at Mt. San Antonio College in Walnut, California was a Sonic Salon, pure Bohemian experience for me.  it motivated me to get into professional Freeform Radio in Orange County, KTBT FM in Garden Grove.  I created my import show BRITISH UNDERGROUND & got it on the air, Spring 1968, by pretending I was English.  it was the forerunner to SPACE PIRATE RADIO.

having said this, I voted for Pink Floyd, MORE because I think it could use some much-needed love.  after all, David Gilmour at one time wanted it removed from their catalog.

mondo love to you all, dear friends.  cheers!

It's almost impossible to choose a favorite from this list. I voted for Stand Up, the first prog album I ever had, so it has a very special and personal meaning to me.

Hard to not vote for ItCotCK, but that Renaissance debut--an album that I'd only heard for the first time in the past year--is one heck of an album!

I like S.F. Sorrow too, but for me, The Sweet Pretty Things is the prettiest one of all. Big smile
