I just saw Peter Gabriel this weekend. It was an excellent show. Inspired by that I thought I would do this poll. The new album can have it's own poll when it's released.

all pretty good, but Melt is my personal favorite

Fourth "Security," primarily for the amazing song "Lay your hands on me."  One of the most remarkable songs by anyone performed live, with Peter laying his body into the hands of his fans in the audience.  Jaw dropping.

Huge fan all around, but Security has moved to the top of the list since it's release (only because you said 'Studio') If Live was an option Peter Plays Live would cinch it.

Personal favourite tune from that album is...

Peter Gabriel - Kiss Of Life

Melt, followed by Car. But not too closely...because that would be tailgating.

The first and fourth are my absolute favorites ("Car" and "Security") but they all have great songs.

Hard choice. I’ve always admired his creativity and blending of styles, specially the African music roots. I’ll have to wait a while to think about it. Not an easy choice for me.

I like the debut a lot, so brilliantly eclectic. On top of that Solsbury Hill is probably my favourite song of all time.

I recall waiting for the first solo album (Car) to come out, purchasing it on the day it was released, hearing the opening bouncing bass of Moribund the Burgermeister, and thinking “This is going to be great!”

...Had the same reaction to Dance on a Volcano off TOTT.

I feel the same way. I don't think the album as a whole is my favorite of all time (although maybe top 20) but Solsbury Hill is probably my all time favorite song also.

I didn't include Ovo mainly because I wasn't familiar with it. I almost wasn't going to include the second one (Scratch) because I figured no one would vote for it. So far I'm right. ;)

First, and possibly only vote for Passion. Very different from the rest of his music, but I contend it is still the best thing he has ever done. After that, it will be Melt, Security, Up, and Car.
