That's sad news... one of the first bands I got into, aged about 13. May he RIP.

Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson

RIP Jimmy Hastings; some of the smoothest, most soulful flute and Sax playing in those early Caravan and Hatfield lps. They just oozed sunshine and warmth for me. Very sad news.

Jimmy Hastings sadly died. RIP to that legendary Canterbury musician. My favorite moments of his were: The Bass Clarinet on Slightly All The Time, flute on Only Cox(With An Ear to the Ground), as well as the flute on Disassociation(9 feet underground).

Roger Ebert once opined that "no movie featuring either Harry Dean Stanton or M. Emmet Walsh in a supporting role can be altogether bad." https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/M._Emmet_Walsh

Thanks for your words. As a Japanese, I'm proud that he's one of the most influential and creative artists in Manga / Anime Scene.

I saw that news this morning. Very sad to hear it. I discovered Dragon Ball in my early 30s, later than I should have, and loved it. I still haven't had a chance to see the Dragon Ball films he's worked on later in his life. RIP Akira Toriyama.
