Don’t like either but UK are marginally better for me since they don’t contain the vocals of Geddy Lee

^ No, just the vocals of John Wetton

Hemispheres is about 35% of good album. The title track is the TFTO of Rush; unnecessarily long for the sake of being long. La Villa Strangiato is the albums saving grace. If this was a choice between UK and AFTK, that would be closer. But I really love the UK debut.

Like both. Giving the edge to U.K.

In other words their progressive peak.

Those are definitely other words. I'll give you that.

I like both, but enjoy better UK, mainly due to the less piercing pitch of the vocals, and a more reasonable track duration.

Hemispheres. I'm using my brain to grow soap bubbles shaped like Barney Fife.

My vote for "Rush's TFTO" is Counterparts: too long and intentionally esoteric (or shall I say, totally different from everything else in the band's discography). And Rush's Tormato is Test for Echo!

Thanks to everyone who participated in this poll. I was expecting it to be much closer, as Hemispheres is currently #1 (4.39) for 1978 albums, while UK is #6 (4.11). Of course, the polling population has changed a lot over the 20+ years of this site's existence, which most likely explains the difference.
