I didn't know about Billy Srings... if everything is of that ilk of what I heard in this thread, he's got a shot in prog Folk.
Gotta stop with that Sun Ra stuff >> go to JMA if you want to review his stuff (like I did) as for the rest, outside of the Isleys, I wouldn't call these artistes "soul", but rather "funk" and some of them are included here (including Mandrill). Early EW&F and K&tG also merit some "progressive" epithets. |
