If you've watched both series in full, which do you prefer?

I have to go with Young Sheldon. BBT has some great jokes, but it is simply a vehicle for delivering punchlines. Very little grabs you on any deeper level. By contrast, Young S is a layered comedy with drama that succeeds far more than most current sitcoms on free TV. I'm most impressed with the young actors and how well they nail their roles, particularly Sheldon and Missy. I also thought they handled the death of George with more depth than most sitcoms would. I think it's a more nuanced show than BBT, but I do understand that for sheer one-liners and wanting to laugh, BBT has unshakable fans.

BBT is very funny and is actually much more of a (light) satire / criticism of geek culture rather than an endorsement. That's why it gets a lot of hate.

My wife and I watched both.... we enjoyed BBT more.
We thought YS was too focused on the kid even though that was the point of the show. BBT had 'better writing' imho as to jokes and situations and one could do more with all the adult themes and conflicts. This is not taking anythng away from YS which was a great show.
