"One" looks at 1971, 1981 and 1991. I like this list and even though we have some heavyweights here like Yes, Floyd and King Crimson, I also like the three jazz titles along with Rush and Caravan. And if you like Rush you probably like that Sieges Even album.
I need to think about this one.

Sick selection. Love all of these:

Pink Floyd-Meddle
Talk Talk-Laughing Stock
Sonny Sharrock-Ask The Ages
Caravan-In The Land Of Grey And Pink
King Crimson-Discipline
Eskaton-4 Visions
Yes-Fragile
Tangerine Dream-Alpha Centauri (at one point my favorite TD-album, but I have to admit I haven't actually turned my record over for the flipside/titletrack, in over a decade).

I have loved over half of these albums, but the top three I am feeling now are:

Pink Floyd - Meddle
Talk Talk - Laughing Stock
Eskaton - 4 Visions

I was going to go with Meddle, but right now Laughing Stock is talking to me... And laughing at me, why always the laughing at me? Make it stop! *mood paranoid* But then this other meddling voice tells me Pink Floyd and I change my mind.

Watching while most appreciating a sunset in the moment need not diminish all the glorious sunsets I have observed before. It can be much like that with music for me.

Ahhh those voices that you hear that no one else does. It's going to be hard for me not to pick Meddle although Moving Pictures and Ask The Ages are whispering in my head right now. Hmmm.

Yes, I haven't actually decided which one of these to vote for out of:

...as I love them all, and they got very little in common, just how am I supposed to select one over the ohers?

-a Van der Graaf or a King Crimson? That I might be able to (but not always), but this trio of albums?

Often the choices have been impossible over the years, so I either don't vote, or I pick what I'm in the mood for at that time.
Today it's Meddle over Moving Pictures.

For 1971 I left out some whoppers in Pawn Hearts, We'll Talk About It Later, Master Of Reality and a bunch of Krautrock records.
For 1981 I regret not including that Kultivator record, plus "Eros" by Dun and "Deceit" by This Heat.

Just, this was supposed to be the third of the "trio", but I somehow removed it before posting:)

This one pitches Discipline against Laughing Stock, two of my top 10 albums of all time, and Meddle is also there that has Echoes which is up there in the songs category. So no chance for Spiderland, 4 Visions, Nude, Alpha Centauri... as good as these are.

It feels so bad voting against Talk Talk (I listened to them quite a bit in the last few days) but it'll be Discipline.
I make typos so you see I'm not a machine, but I may be a machine pretending to not be a machine.

Fragile today. But, Inner Mounting Flame, Moving Pictures and As Falls Wichita So Falls Wichita Falls are albums I could easily vote for in this poll.

Absent Lovers which was from that Discipline tour sounds incredible. They were firing on all cylinders as they say.

Choosing just the one can take a lot of Discipline. Methinkc if you Ask the Ages, they'll be fine with the voices, but I hope those aren't Moving Pictures of Nude Camels (although clothed camels would be stranger, so never mind).
