Ah, so many interesting options here! (And a lot of things to look into as well...)
But for me it will be 'Red Queen to Gryphon Three'

Gryphon - Midnight Mushrumps (always preferred it over the one everyone seem to go for, Red Queen to Gryphon Three - which I always found a little "sterile". And I miss the medieval folk-element)

Plenty of nice, if a little uneven albums among the rest of the selection.

Hi,

Even though the album listed by ISB is their last one, it was still great, and one listen to "Dumb Kate", and you're hooked.

Sandy Denny, is next for me.

Principal Edwards is the next one. A very special little band, produced by Nick Mason, had some really nifty material and it was excellent. It's a shame it won't get more listens.

Gryphon would be next, but already I was more interested on how their music was used at the National Theater, than the stuff that we thought was great. I imagine that it was opening and closing music ... which would be sad, as some of it could have been used during the show like it would in a movie, for example. I did that in a one-act play I directed, and one professor, a bit of one of those kind of turkeys, said ... I didn't come to the theater to hear a rock show! I don't think he could appreciate a lot of stuff unless he was stoned immaculate, which he was too old for anyway!

Horslips is next and a nice, and very different album.

Music is not just for listening ... it is for LIVING ... you got to feel it to know what's it about! Not being told!

I agree it's a shame. Love their The Asmoto Running Band-album (and their debut is great too). It's an album I've been wanting to hear, but I've never located Round One[/I.

I went for Midnight Mushrumps, though could easily have voted for Red Queen to Gryphon Three or Comus.
