^Not only that Animals suffers from what I call 'lack of Rick' - by that time he was just going through the motions and barely contributing any ideas.

I love DSotM and Animals but have developed a recent appreciation and favoritism for ASoS (A Saucerful of Secrets). What an amazing album! in 1968!!

I think Wish... is Floyd's best album because Richard's input makes the album. However, Animals is my favourite.

Animals and DSOTM quite some distance ahead of WYWH, which is still good. Vote Animals but it's tight.

I binged a bunch of Floyd albums a few months ago, and fell slightly out of favor with Animals and WYWH. Still love The Wall, though. And Pulse is live Floyd perfection.

Dark Side is easily one of the greatest albums ever recorded, it will continue to influence musicians for eons to come. As well off the charts from a production standpoint, hands down. Love the album...
But for me I prefer WYWH, for probably the last 20 years. It is such an easy listen, very much to the point and always makes me smile after all these years. Animals has been making the climb as well for me, especially after the new remix came out that allowed us to hear that album as it may should have been mixed to start off with. I'm very comfortable with my ranking: WYWH Animals DSOtM |
