Weird seeing Tony Iommi without a mustache.

We're getting fewer and fewer of the 70s heroes left... :( That's life, but it doesn't make it any less painful. I hope Ozzy can finally rest in peace.

^ I think we were lucky to have him far past his expiration date.

I can't believe people actually believe Ozzy had little to nothing to do with creating HEAVY METAL.
Sure he did not lay down the guitar riffs, or thick bass lines....but he put words to that music that oozes HEAVY METAL. His attitude was more than enough to define the start of HEAVY METAL.
He and Black Sabbath did not dabble in it, they lived it, it ran in their veins.

Simply nutz to think he and Sabbath had little to do with it.

Geezer Butler was the main lyric writer in the first few Sabbath albums

let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

That's because Geezer wrote most of the lyrics in Black Sabbath. Later on, when ozzy went solo, Bob Daisley wrote a lot of lyrics. I don't know much after that, as for me his music got less and less interesting after his 1991 album No More Tears.

As a vocalist, Ozzy was essential to the BS sound, with his unique style. Nobody sang or sounded like him.
