My favorites are in no realy order i love em all very much hard to rank bands realy:
Pink Floyd
Yes
King Crimson
ELP
Jethro Tull
From the ather bands on the list i allso have 2 albums by Rush and 2 by Genesis but none of thos 2 groups come even close to thos 5 great prog bands.

Without any doubt i vote for RUSH. the best combination of inteligent passionate and agressive music.

Since those 90's bands were included, I voted for other prog metal.
Either A.C.T. (pop metal?), Pain of Salvation or Spastic Ink.
Of the 70's bands, I think Yes or Gentle Giant made the largest
number of great records during the 70's, but I think Crimson have made
more great records over the years, so it depends on the definition.
Best prog band during the 70's or best prog band FROM the 70's?
