Magenta's expansive double CD debut was a real statement of intent. On the whole and with maybe only a few weak albums (Chameleon and Home) they have probably been one of the better prog bands of the new millenium.

What a good year...

3. Not Of This World
2. The Cross and the Crucible

but my winner is:

Anoraknophobia: not just a brilliant album title encapsulating the state of the modern English psyche, but a superb no-filler album (my second favourite H era album after Afraid Of Sunlight).

Magenta. My gall bladder likes footnotes about slow hamper lids.

A toss up between Pallas and Pendragon.
I'll go Pallas this time: a much underrated band.

Pendragon
Music has always been a matter of energy to me. On some nights I believe that a car with the needle on empty can run 50 more miles if you have the right music very loud on the radio. Hunter S Thompson
