The Book of Kells is magnificent, edging out Hybris.

Big fan of the Asia 'Aqua' album. 'Love Under Fire' is fantastic.

My favourite may be Current 93's Thunder Perfect Mind but since that did not make the list, I will go with underrated (and not just by Psychedelic Paul) Cardiacs' Heaven Born and Ever Bright. I really say underrated because I believe that I rather underrated it for a long time (not that it was ever less than three stars for me). I think that it's a wonderful album in Cardiacs' discography.

This year is loaded with gems!

1. CASINO ~ s/t (Geoff Mann...'nuff said!)
2. ARS NOVA ~ Fear & Anxiety (the superb debut by Japan's greatest symph trio)
3. DREAM THEATER ~ Images & Words (a classic, and the best-ever evasion of the sophomore jinx)
4. ELP ~ Black Moon (superb comeback)
5. ATAVISM OF TWILIGHT ~ s/t (great one-off by this all-instrumental quartet from southern California)

Hybris & Amused To Death
let's just stay above the moral melee
prefer the sink to the gutter
keep our sand-castle virtues
content to be a doer
as well as a thinker,
prefer lifting our pen
rather than un-sheath our sword

After Crying for me, a superb disc

I should vote Cardiacs on principle but I don't actually own that one, so Anglagard.
