Blimey - easy one. Porcupine Tree have evolved gradually over the years whilst the Ozrics have not. Or at least they didn't over the 13 albums that I bought.

The Ozric Tentacles consistently dwell in heaven, while Porcupine Tree delude themselves into thinking that small incremental spurts of progress in the pop world is an achievement to shout out from the rooftops

Agreed... to a degree. Wink

I still quite enjoy what PT does, but the places Ozric takes my mind are simply sublime. Clap

Im gonna go with PT also. I like OT alot but I can only listen to them in small doses. The hypnotic drum beat/house/trance/industrial/acid thing, whatever you want to call it grows old in a hurry.

I haven't played bass for Porcupine Tree, so I voted for my buddies

Thumbs Up

Sorry. No offense to Porcupine Tree fans but I just can't get into their music.

The Ozric Tentacles mix more styles into their music then PT do. And although their sound has not evolved as much as PT imo their sound is just better to begin with. Porcupine Tree has some great psychedelic moments but the hard rock stuff is uninspired. Ozrics for me!
